The date for the Commitment Dinner is on yet on the Academic Calendar. It always takes place before the school year starts. Cadets in attendance take the important step of reaffirming their commitment to the military. More.
Commitment Dinner for the second class takes place at the start of the fall semester. Once the cadets return to the Academy for their second class year, they incur the financial or active duty "commitment" for their education if they depart the Academy prior to graduation. Members of the Legacy Class are invited to attend the Commitment dinner to celebrate with the second-class cadets.
Ring Dance, Spring 2020
Traditionally, the week of graduation, our cadets’ junior year, they attend a ball, exclusively for them. Here is where they receive their class rings and unveil the class crest. As tradition goes their ring is placed into a flute of champagne, and caught in their teeth as they toast and drink.
100's Night and Graduation, Spring 2021
100’s Night for our first-class cadets takes place about 100 nights before graduation. Our cadets will join with their Legacy Class and celebrate 100 days until graduation and their commissioning as second lieutenants. Cadets also receive their base assignments and are given liberty to celebrate.
The USAFA Class of 2021 decided Brigadier General James Robinson Risner is their Exemplar, as he exemplifies the core values they hold most dear as a class. A dinner to celebrate Brig. Gen. Risner is scheduled for October 2018.
Your USAFA 2021 Spirit Mission will support this event as the leadership of the Class of 2021 needs.
This is a major milestone for the USAFA Class of 2021.
Recognition consists of several activities challenging our cadets again and concludes with a ceremonial acknowledgement that they have successfully met the challenges put before them and are prepared to continue their journey at the academy.
It is now our cadets are allowed to wear the Prop and Wings insignia on their flight caps. The USAFA 2021 Spirit Mission is working on a commemorative coin that embodies the spirit of our cadet class.
